TECHNIQUES AND TOOLS FOR THE ADEQUATE CUTTING AND HANDLING OF OUR TILES
These are some tools and advices for the correct handling and cutting of all types of stoneware and porcelain tiles for both, walls and floors.
Dry Cutting
Exerting more pressure on the edges of the tile to score the fracture is recommended.
Depending on the roughness of the surface of the tile, its finish and thickness, the pressure needed to cut the piece will vary.
Waterjet cutting
A constant speed and pressure is recommended, which will be dictated by the machine itself.
Cutting, drilling and manual smoothing
This type of tool is ideal for small touches, circular cuts or mitres.
Leveling spacer system
The leveling spacer system is very important for the correct installation of ceramic tiles.
A minimum 1.5 mm joint between tiles is recommended.
Always remove in the direction of the joint to avoid damaging the tile.
