A Gastronomic Corner in the Palacio de Bornos Winery

Rueda, Spain

Located in Rueda, the Palacio de Bornos Winery has recently inaugurated a large area dedicated to sales of its wines and typical products of the gastronomy from Castilla y León.

The aim was to highlight the tradition and history of this famous wine-growing area. For this reason, representative elements of rural architecture were specified in the construction of the space.

The aesthetics used in the creation of this space take you to the streets of the beautiful small towns of the area; wrought iron bars, tiled roofs, ancestral woods, terracotta paving stones and lots of ceramics. In the decoration, traditional elements in wine production give authenticity to its entirety.

Those responsible for the project; The Q-ARQ Arquitectura y Diseño studio specified the 8x31.5cm LUCA Lava tile by VIVES as the common thread, to add colour and dynamism to the space. With this, they have managed to provide a colourful point of ceramic craftsmanship, which so well defines the traditional character of the space.
